Funding Public Services
Through Grants

GCRA helps make available public services through granting specific funds each year to a variety of community centered organizations. GCRA awards subrecipient funding to community partner organizations that in turn must use those funds to better Greenville County.

Funds must be used to:

  • Assist low- and moderate-income residents
  • Prevent or eliminate slums and blight
  • Meet particular urgent community needs where no other funding is available
  • Increase the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing for lower-income residents
  • Increase shelter and provide services for the homeless
  • Work towards preventing homelessness
NOTICE: Effective Monday, July 6, the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority administrative office is reopening to the public. For your safety and ours, we strongly encourage online and phone payments. If you believe you need to meet with a staff member, it is mandatory that you call to make an appointment. Only two individuals will be permitted in the lobby at any given time.
