Funding Public Services
Through Grants

GCRA helps make available public services through granting specific funds each year to a variety of community centered organizations. GCRA awards subrecipient funding to community partner organizations that in turn must use those funds to better Greenville County.

Funds must be used to:

  • Assist low- and moderate-income residents
  • Prevent or eliminate slums and blight
  • Meet particular urgent community needs where no other funding is available
  • Increase the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing for lower-income residents
  • Increase shelter and provide services for the homeless
  • Work towards preventing homelessness
GCRA is open in a limited capacity. For your safety and ours, we strongly encourage online/phone payments. If you believe you need to meet with a staff member, it is mandatory that you call to make an appointment. Only two individuals are permitted in the lobby at a time. Also please note: GCRA is closed from 12:00 to 1:30 on Mondays through Thursdays.
