Funding Public Services
GCRA helps make available public services through granting specific funds each year to a variety of community centered organizations. GCRA awards subrecipient funding to community partner organizations that in turn must use those funds to better Greenville County.
Funds must be used to:
- Assist low- and moderate-income residents
- Prevent or eliminate slums and blight
- Meet particular urgent community needs where no other funding is available
- Increase the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing for lower-income residents
- Increase shelter and provide services for the homeless
- Work towards preventing homelessness
